Organization of Training Course under Mutual Technical Cooperation

Myanmar by the Settlement and Land Records Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation in cooperation with the Bureau of Agricultural Statistics, Department of Agriculture, Philippines will organize the training course on “Basic Survey Design and ICT – Based Data processing and Dissemination” in November 2009 in Myanmar. The objective is to improve knowledge and skills of staff of Myanmar in providing necessary information for food security planning. The course will be instructed by experts from Philippines. The costs of the organization including the training instructors from Philippines will be financed by the Project.

Organization of Training Course (Workshop) in Thailand

Training course on “Development of Agricultural Production Information” will be organized during 23 November – 3 December 2009 at the ASEAN Food Security Information and Training (AFSIT) Center, Office of Agricultural Economics, Bangkok, Thailand. The objective is to increase knowledge and skills of participants in developing reliable information related to agricultural production to be used in food security planning.
